Hotel Gemma

Family run hotel so nice atmosphere. Our room had all usual amenities ( except fridge ) plus balcony with fantastic seaview. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a range of sweet and/or savoury options. On site lunchtime only restaurant has good choice of meals at very reasonable prices. Pool has thermally heated water plus hot tub which feels a bit warmer. Easy access from port via regular bus service. Short walk to supermarket ( 800 metres ) and fantastic restaurant - Trizz - 400 metres.

The breakfast was excellent, very generous continental spread with both hot & cold options. It was lovely, best breakfast we'd had during our time in Italy - we stayed in a few different places and the breakfast here was far by the best! The hotel is located next to a main road with good transport links to the port and other parts of the island, very handy if you want to go out exploring Ischia. The rooms were a good size with good bathroom/shower facilities and air conditioning, wardrobes were ample too. Only thing I would say that would make the rooms better would have been a fridge for keeping water/refreshments in. Apart from that, the rooms were very good. The thermal pools were lovely, very warm and good for swimming. The smaller pool was especially warm and had jets which were great for massaging your back and legs. The pool area in general was set in a pleasant courtyard with shaded areas too for those who wanted a break from the sun. They had very nice terraces as well which were ideal for sunbathing, with the added option of sunbathing by the pool with sunbeds and parasols that were free to use. A lovely family-run establishment, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and would go out their way to accommodate you. On the day we were checking out, they very kindly let us use one of the rooms for showering/getting changed as our flight wasn't until later in the evening and we wanted to spend time sunbathing by the pool before setting off for Naples in the afternoon. They didn't charge us for this and they even gave us some free bottles of water which was very kind of them; I wasn't feeling well on the day we checked out and the staff were very attentive, one member of staff even gave me their jacket to help keep me warm as I had caught a chill after swimming in the sea the day before. A very kind family who look after their guests, I would highly recommend Hotel Gemma and would definitely stay here again.

The Staff was AMAZING, Marco and his brother and the dad and the mother. The breakfast was fresh and complete The view in the balcony of the kitchen is PANORAMIC (the see, palms and the sky) The thermal pool is so relaxing The room is big with a big balcony The hotel is very clean The location is perfect Value for money really good

Very nice, family b&b. Location is convinient, few minutes to bus stop that goes around the island or to the city center of Casamicciola Terme and the beach. Nice, italian style breakfest with amazing tarrace and sea view. Helpful stuff. Clean and convenient room. And swiming pool!

Very friendly nice hotel,very helpful welcoming staff. Great value for money! Location fantastic for people who prefer not busy country side! I preferred this to busy town! So didn’t mind the commute by taxi or bus.
